If you are going to head one of the largest religious groups in the world (I said one of, not largest, see {en:major religious groups|here} for numbers), ya should have a bit of common sense. Not necessarily a lot of common sense - after all you have given up all sorts of really cool things in life so I will assume you don’t have oodles and oodles of common sense – but at least enough to keep from firmly planting your foot in your mouth.
Enter The German Pope, Eggs Benedict XVI. Personally, I think his brains are scrambled if not truly poached. Our tolerant pontiff has recently de-ex-communicated a Catholic bishop named Richard Williamson, who belongs to the ultra-traditional Society of Saint Pius X and denies the extent of the Holocaust. According to his eminence, although the Holocaust happened, it really wasn’t that bad and only a few hundred thousand Jews were killed. Not to mention his penchant for insulting protestants (which is OK because they are WASPs) and Muslims – this guy ain’t that bright.
Forget what your opinion is of any religious group. When you are they head of one that has value of brotherly love and peace and harmony, you should know enough to keep your friggin mouth shut. I don’t know which is worse, the fact that Eggs Benedict XVI is morally retarded or the fact that he was elected by the cardinals. Does this mean that they share his opinions, in part if not all?
